Can You Lend a Helping Hand?

Can You Lend a Helping Hand?
Have you got a couple of hours or more to share?  Novinger Renewal currently has several volunteer opportunities available - and, in most cases a willing heart is the only experience necessary.  If you are interested in assisting with any of the following project please contact Glenna at 660-488-5280 or Gary Lloyd at 660-627-2140.  Several helping hand donating couple of hours or more can make a BIG difference!
Projects where help is needed:

  • Sitters to man the Log Homestead two hours or more per month between Memorial Day and Labor Day.
  • One or more additional people to share in the mowing and trimming of Renewal grounds.
  • One or more people to tend Renewal's flower beds.
  • Help with the renovation of the Novinger Community Center.
  • Assistance with the Adopt-A-Highway pick-up (scheduled for April 29th, 2001).
  • Help with the caboose renovation project.
  • Changing of lettering on town sign.
  • Assistance during Coal Miner Days (May 27 & 28, 2001).

Volunteerism can be a very rewarding experience.  You meet new people, learn new skills, plus feel a sense of accomplishment and pride in knowing YOU did something to aid the whole community.
Give it a try!
