This collection and index may be viewed at the society at the above
address and copies may be made there for twenty-five cents each.
Regular
visiting hours for the museum and library are 1 - 4 p.m. Wednesday,

The free web site shown below was just updated (March '07) and now
contains
29,337 names for obituaries and death notices that appeared in the
Kirksville Daily Express between March 1979 and 31 December 2006. All
are on file with the Adair County Historical Society. They can be
obtained by mail at a reasonable price. Most of the persons indexed
lived in Adair, Putnam, Schuyler, Sullivan, Knox or Macon counties,
Missouri. The women are indexed by their maiden names and all
marriage surnames, when shown.
This site also contains the Adair County gravestone inscriptions and
an index to the Putnam County gravestone inscriptions, the Kent
Funeral Home records plus other data of genealogical interest.
